The finals and awards ceremony of the 42nd National College Cherry Blossom Poetry Contest took place at 吃瓜网's (WHU) Zuotao Cultural Space on March 22. During the height of cherry blossom season, poetry enthusiasts from across the country gathered at Luojia Mountain to celebrate spring with verse.

Jointly hosted by the Chinese Poetry Network, WHU, and the Hubei Students' Federation, the contest featured both original poetry and recitation categories, attracting wide participation and showcasing young talent and patriotic spirit.
Qu Wenqian, deputy secretary of the CPC WHU Committee, delivered opening remarks, encouraging students to embrace cultural confidence, carry forward traditional values, and write with heart and vision in the new era. A distinguished panel of poets, media professionals, and vocal artists served as judges, offering insightful feedback.

Lu Yicheng of Communication University of Zhejiang won the grand prize in the poetry creation category, while Chen Junhan from the Beijing Film Academy took first prize in the recitation category.
As one of WHU's most prominent cultural events, the Cherry Blossom Poetry Contest continues to provide a platform for young people to express themselves, celebrate Chinese heritage, and pursue literary excellence.
